Hi! I was just wondering what everyone's favorite Disney sequels are? I know some people don't like them, and then there are those who love them. So what are everyone's favorites and why? I’m just curious!
There aren’t many Disney sequels that I don’t like, but I do have quite a few that I LOVE!
The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride
Jungle Book 2
Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True
Peter Pan II: Return to Neverland
I LOVE LK2: Simba’s Pride because of the relationship between Kiara/Simba. The other thing I LOVE about LK2 is the songs, especially “We Are One.” I also like Kiara as a cub and thought she and I had a lot in common.
Now to Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World. I LOVED the songs in this movie as well as the plot. I loved how Pocahontas was forced to leave everyone and everything she knew and loved to protect her people and tribe. She put her family first and that was a great message to send out. She also got a chance to explore a new world and new things, which was cool too!
Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True was pretty cool. Now, while it’s true that I LOVE Cinderella III: A Twist in Time most of all, I liked Cinderella 2 for the first story and the last one it told. I also LOVED the music in the movie. The message of following your heart and not listening to what other people say was great! I really enjoyed how Cinderella helped Anastasia get her man and how they got closer because of it.
Now for Peter Pan II: Return to Neverland. I liked this movie because it showed the reality of war and the toll it could take on a small family fighting to survive. I also liked the way the lost boys welcomed Jane into their group even though she was a girl. I liked the music in the movie as well, but I have to say Peter Pan is still my favorite by far. I like the first movie better, probably because I’ve always liked Wendy. I grew up on Disney’s Peter Pan and it’s the only version I’ll watch.
And I love Jungle Book 2 because I loved how they developed Shanti’s character! Mae Whitman did a fantastic job portraying her and she was the main reason I went to see it. I also loved Bagheera’s appearance as well as Ranjan. He was sooo adorable! I also loved most of the music in it as well!
Hmmm, my first favorite sequel would have to be Lilo & Stitch II: Stitch Has a Glitch, followed by all the other L&S movies. I also liked Peter Pan II. I still haven't seen many unfortunately...
lk 2 is all right, wished i'd seen lk 1 though. i often find sequils are a bit of a let down after the first movie, that they have to run like mad to sustain a story.
Disney's Peter Pan is the only version I've ever heard of besides the original book.
Some sequels are better than others. It's rare to find one that was as good as the original, but I wouldn't say impossible. It's when they make a sequel just for the sake of making a sequel that annoys me, as opposed to making a sequel because there's actually more of the story that can be told. That's what TLM2 felt like to me, though it had it's good moments.
lion king2 for me. though i've always loved the lion king anyway. oh yeah and lion king 3, because lion king's great!. hmm... probably peter pan 2 as a close second. i'd say the sequel to wizard of oz, but was that even disney?
I like all of the Lion King movies.
lion king 3? i know of 1 and a half, but, lk2 was the best, lilo and stitch was a good movie, it's everything that came after that made me hate it so much. even if i do still have my large stitch plushi
and a sequal to the wizard of oz? i know wicked, but that is more a prequal to it. so what is this sequal of which you speak.
Lion King 1 1/2 is hilarious! It's Timon and Pumbaa's version of what happened! It's really good!
Yeah, it's called the Lion King 3 in Europe and Canada I believe. Return to Oz was a movie that was made in 1986. I saw it once but don't remember it well at all.
